The San Anton Hotel - St. Paul's Bay

I reckon the pool area was a winner, but the food was a bit of a letdown, especially the watered-down drinks and bland meals.

Had a very nice stay on holiday, and would stay here again and again. The breakfast selection was good on 2 morning's. The room was newly remodelled, spotlessly clean and with 2 double beds. The location couldn't be more great...  

We stayed on a half board basis, to say that the food was bloody awful would be the understatement of the year. After breakfast and an evening meal on the first day we realised that it would be a very wise decision to eat out at a restaurant. But each day before we went out to eat we would visit the hotels restaurant to see if the standard of the food had improved but unfortunately it didn't.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was very basic but cleaned everyday.

Food was awful. The were a lot of teenage student staying in this hotel (attending a language school) the majority of them were well behaved but others were rude and disruptive - running around the hotels corridors, shouting at 3am. The air conditioning unit was very noisy and couldn't cope with the heat.

The pool area was immaculate and perfect. Loved the spacious room with comfy furnishings.

When we visit St. Paul's Bay, like staying here. Overall, it's nice base for exploring St. Paul's Bay attractions.

In a hotel like this - bad smell is unacceptable.

The room was a total disaster, with cockroaches as my unexpected roommates. The shower was broken, and I was shocked by the lack of clean towels-who knew that would be a luxury? I almost thought of leaving a good review, but I expected a welcome gift for all the inconvenience, and that definitely didn't happen. Just pathetic.

Wi-Fi was reliable. Poolside snack bar was a nice touch. Room lacked effective air conditioning.

The pool area was an excellent retreat, and the staff at the bar provided attentive service. The cheerful reception team, especially the Maltese lady, really enhanced our experience by accommodating our request for a late...  

The outdoor pools are a hit with the kids, and my sister loved the live music in the evening. The area near the hotel is buzzing with entertainment options, and it's just a short stroll to the beach for a bit...  

Oh, the grilled fish by the nearby Spaghetti Junction? A culinary delight that hit all the right notes! Plus, our room had a cute little balcony making mornings a joy. A big thumbs up to the pool area, even though it was a bit chilly!...  

Pool area very clean and well-maintained. Furniture outdated, and air conditioning unit inefficient. Nearby shops and restaurants close by make it easy to explore. Room cleanliness not the best. We found some ants .

Let's get real. The room I got was more minimalist than I'd prefer, with just an open metal frame for clothes and no drawers at all. The bathroom felt dated, and I couldn't help but notice some mold creeping into the corners, which didn't sit well with me. Plus, the restaurant next door had bland food options and was not open for very long. The air conditioning was about as effective as an Ewok with a blaster, leaving me sweating through the night. And if you're lucky enough to score a sunbed by the pool, be warned that outside residents will swoop in just like TIE fighters, taking up what should be reserved for folks staying here.
